We are currently seeking a VDC Manager in Jacksonville, FL. to join our family.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Manage adversity and obstacles with tact and good judgement.
- Employee should exhibit all of the competencies of the Assistant VDC Manager.
- Market Batson-Cook / tell the Batson-Cook story.
- Ability to credit/edit our BEP and exhibits to meet the needs of the project.
- Communicates well with Architects and consultants on D/B projects.
- Interpret conceptual, schematic, or bridging documents and develop cost estimates.
- Build a strong working knowledge of the entire delivery process from design conception through construction and be able to identify areas of improvement at any stage.
- Understand the design process (3rd party or integrated).
- Keep informed of developments and emerging technologies in the industry and report their significance back to the wider organization.
- Fundamental understanding of Batson-Cook/Health safety plan.
- Establish metrics for measuring process improvements and track results against those metrics.
- Understand procurement processes including buyout strategies and subcontract items and Identify project goals and continually monitor the project offering support if necessary, to verify their goals are fulfilled.
- Speak publicly and effectively present VDC process at project interviews.
- Identify major risk items of a project and a plan to mitigate those risks.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills.
- Recognize unmet needs within the organization and offer solutions.
- Develop VDC strategies which identify project challenges, respond with creative solutions, and provide effective project implementation.
- Communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g. customers, suppliers, employees).
- Maintain relationship to ensure needs are met and problems/conflicts are resolved.
- Communicates and reinforces the Company vision, mission and values.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in a relevant field with 5-8 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Employee should have gained the minimum training/certifications outlined for Assistant VDC Manager with knowledge of applicable tool set.
